High bid $4,700.00

Status: Sold

Model 42 Deluxe “Double Diamond” .410, serial number 110565. Manufactured in 1954, this firearm features a 26" skeet-choked barrel, fancy figured walnut stock and beavertail forend with the distinctive double diamond checkering pattern, and a period-correct Simmons Gun Specialties ventilated rib marked in script. The finish appears original and exceptionally well-preserved, though a professional refinish performed at the time of rib installation cannot be ruled out. The bolt is not jeweled, which is consistent with some Deluxe configurations from this era. Investment-grade condition throughout. A rare and desirable piece for the serious Winchester collector or discerning sportsman. Please inspect this firearm in person prior to bidding if you have any questions.
